Lorraine Kelly's adorable dog fails miserably as host attempts to break world record

In honour of Lorraine Kelly turning 60 this year she's been determined to fulfill a bucket list.

After making her dreams come true with a cameo on Coronation Street , Lorraine decided to make an attempt at a world record.

With the help of her border terrier Angus and 100 other dogs, the daytime telly host was hoping to break the record for dogs remained seated for 30 seconds straight.

But it was a total disaster as her adorable pooch refused to remain seated no matter how many times Lorraine hilariously screamed "sit!"

Luckily for Lorraine, Angus wasn't solely to blame for the epic fail as the Guinness World Record adjudicator confirmed that 13 dogs in total were not able to remain seated.

Lorraine was not convinced Angus would be a success, as she said ahead of the challenge: "There’s absolutely no chance he is going to do this."

The adjudicator explained that the owners were allowed to give them treats but couldn't hold them down to keep them sat.

Lorraine fed Angus several treats as she tried her best to get her dog to obey, but there wasn't any use and the record attempt was over before it had barely began.

Earlier in the show Lorraine had nearly risked getting her perfectly coiffed hair drenched when she took part in a magic trick with BGT magician Jamie Raven.

Luckily for Lorraine it was all part of the illusion, as there was no water in her cup and she squealed in shock over the magic.

"How did that happen?! I don’t understand!

"I really genuinely thought i was gonna get soaked," Lorraine said.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 8.30am
