Lorraine Kelly reveals why she really calls ITV show guests 'flower'

Lorraine Kelly has spilled a secret that her viewers and guests may just remember next time she's on air.

The presenter, who is expected to be back on her self-titled ITV chat show next week, has revealed why she really calls guests who appear on her programme 'flower'.

Lorraine, 62, made the admission while appearing on Jimmy Carr's new show, I Literally Just Told You, which aired on Channel 4.

She joined Aisling Bea, Alex Horne, and Asim Chaudhry on the show on Thursday night which sees the celebrity attempt to win £25k for their chosen charities.

Speaking to Lorraine, Jimmy asked: "How's your memory?" to which she replied: "It's not wonderful."

The host added: "You must have, as Aisling mentioned, forgotten people that you've interviewed."

"I've basically gotten to the stage now, I just call everybody 'flower' because I'm hopeless at people's names," the Scottish TV star then confessed.

"I do forget people's names so yeah, that's what I do."

Lorraine then listed some other names that she uses when her mind goes black on her morning show.

Lorraine was on Jimmy Carr's new game show (ITV)

"Flower, or petal, or love, or gorgeous, or angel...." she said.

Lorraine was last seen at the helm of her own show on Christmas Day.

The episode was pre-recorded before the mum-of-one headed off on her festive break.

She brought along her daughter Rose's Daschund puppy, Ruby, along for the ride as she chatted Spice Girls with Melanie C, Strictly with judge Motsi Mabuse and Christmas on the cobbles with Daniel Brocklebank, who plays vicar Billy Mayhew in Coronation Street.

Before then, the show was being presented by Andi Peters from the Good Morning Britain studio as part of an extended programme after the show was being cancelled between Christmas and New Year.
