Lorraine Kelly reacts to Cat Deeley taking over her show as replacement divides viewers

Lorraine Kelly has spoken out to give her opinion on Cat Deeley taking over her show this week as viewers praise the stand in host once again.

Just like she did at Easter, former SMTV star Cat is at the helm of the ITV morning programme for half term and, as she was joined by guests including friend Louise Redknapp, fans watching at home were thrilled to have her back, with some even calling on Cat to land the job full time.

And there's clearly no hard feelings from Lorraine as she took to Twitter to reply to a tweet about the ex So You Thing You Can Dance presenter replacing her as she takes a break.

A post on Lorraine's show account at the weekend read: "She's back and we can't wait!

@catdeeley every weekday next week from 9am!”

And in a reaction that was seen by her 643,000 followers, Lorraine retweeted the post and wrote: "Love her” along with a heart emoji.

Tweeting Cat and including Lorraine in the post, one viewer posted: "such good news to see you back on our Tv's your doing a great job on lorraine."

Equally impressed, another commented: "Ahh thank god Cat is back, I can now watch itv at 9am. Phew great news!" a third tweeted: "yay, so much better than Lorraine. YIPEE"

Another viewer and clearly a big Cat fan reacted: "What a refreshing change again to have Cat Deeley, give her a show of her own or at the very least 2 days a week instead of the same old same old every day"

However, others took a completely different stance, bemoaning the fact that Cat was back at the helm. One reacted: "Be turning off for another week again!" and, in agreement, another ranted: "Won’t be watching she is absolutely awful"
