Lorraine Kelly has paid a poignant tribute to her 'grafter' dad in a throwback message for Father's Day.
The iconic Scots TV presenter posted a sweet picture from when she was a baby of her then 18-year-old dad cradling her in his arms.
Wearing a dapper jumper and shirt combination coupled with a stylish haircut, her dad lovingly looks down at a tiny Lorraine.
And in a moving post alongside the snap, she revealed he is currently being looked after at Hairmyres Hospital in Inverness while thanking staff looking after him.
Lorraine, from Glasgow, wrote: "Happy Fathers Day to my dad.
"Just 18 years old in this photo.
"Grafted all his days and now in being looked after in Hairmyres hospital.
"Thanks to all staff there for taking care of him. Hopefully he will be out soon and back home. Haven’t seen him and my mum since his birthday in early March.
"Like so many families forced apart by covid19."
Fans were quick to show their love for the heartwarming throwback, with the post racking up nearly 3,000 likes in the hour since it was post.
Among them was ITV colleague Eamonn Holmes, who left a series of clapping and prayer emojis in the comment section.
