Lorraine Kelly makes ‘snarky’ comment about Summer Monteys-Fullam

Lorraine Kelly has had another dig at a celebrity while presenting her ITV programme.

Today’s target was Summer Monteys-Fullam.

The Scottish host was speaking about Paul Hollywood’s ex, who has given an interview to a tabloid newspaper about the break-up and her plans for the future.

In the interview, the 24-year-old said she wanted to concentrate on her career - something that Lorraine couldn’t quite get her head around.

After welcoming viewers back to the show, Lorraine referenced the newspaper article before giving her thoughts about it.

“Paul Hollywood’s ex, Summer Monteys-Fullam - to give her her full title - has given her first newspaper interview since their break up last year,” Lorraine said.

“She says she wasn’t fazed by the 29 year age gap with Paul and was besotted by him.

“She said though that she is going to grab the bull by the horns career wise - I am not quite sure what that actually means.

“Probably Love Island.”

Ouch.

It’s not the first time Lorraine has had a dig like this - Esther McVey, Caroline Flack and Jennifer Arcuri have all been at the business end of her comments in the past.

To be fair to Lorraine, she’s probably not too far off - Summer is currently odds on with the bookmakers to appear in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! so it’s highly likely that she could end up on a reality show at some point.

Despite this, some viewers were a little uncomfortable with Lorraine’s comments.

One tweeted: “Was it really necessary to make that b****y comment about Summer Montereys-Fulham?"

A second said: “That was a bit snarky about Mrs Hollywood."

Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV.
