Lorraine Kelly makes savage Paul Hollywood dig after David Walliams stepdad confession

Lorraine Kelly made a savage dig at Paul Hollywood dig today during a chat with David Walliams .

The Britain's Got Talent judge admitted that his mum fancies the Bake Off star as he is "catnip for the over 70s".

David said: "There's people that she fancies Lorraine. Paul Hollywood. He’s catnip for the over 70s. Alan Titchmarsh when we go to events she plays wants to see the people she fancies.

"I’m hosting the NTAs next year. I’m going to sit her next to Paul Hollywood. Or she might end up sitting on Paul Hollywood.

"Paul Hollywood might end up being my stepfather."

Lorraine then made a hilarious jibe towards Paul's recent taste in women - hinting at his younger ex Summer Montey's-Fullam.

The Scottish presenter said: "She might do but I think Paul likes the younger women."

David cried: "She can have work done. Come on Paul, give my mum a chance."

David was on the show to promote the arena spectacular of his book - Grandpa's Great Escape.

To mark the occasion, he rocked up outside the studio in a massive tank.

He joked: "What says Christmas better than a tank."

David's book is going on tour (ITV)

Discussing the tour, he said: "I never realised, writing the books is only the start. They can become other things. It's incredible what's happened over 10 years.

"When I started this I'd just finished Little Britain. I had an idea for a children’s book. I didn’t think much more of that. I thought they’d sit on the shelf and no one would care for them.

"Now it's grown and grown and kids are anticipating the next story. it is non stop you have t think of new ideas each time."
