Glaswegian television presenter Lorraine Kelly had ITV viewers laughing behind their screens yet again today as she made a very tongue-in-cheek comment about the unusual shape of a handbag during the fashion segment of her show.
She was joined by fellow Scotsman, stylist and journalist Mark Heyes to discuss this Christmas' clothing trends.
The pair welcomed model Abi, who donned a stunning H&M glitterball dress.
"It's such a great dress!" exclaimed Mark.
Lorraine added: "That is fabulous, and so flattering!
"It's beautiful - it's very Mariah Carey-esque, if you don't mind. Miss Mariah would look amazing in that.
"It is! It suits every age, shape and size effectively. Beautiful knot detail, it's stretchy so you can wear it all through the season."
Abi then demonstrated a rhinestone Ego handbag, that bore a rather unusual shape.
"What's that Christmas bauble?" Lorraine then asked.
"Are you ready for this?" replied Mark. "I didn't think this show was camp enough, so I decided to use this little bag! You can fit your lipstick in it - a lipstick bag!
Lorraine then trailed off: "Is it just me, or is it...?"
"No! Don't! Don't!" Mark interrupted laughing.
"Is it a wee bit phallic? Is that the word?" she wondered. "Sorry, Mark, sorry! Just being naughty! I said that out loud."
"Do you know what? I mentioned it before and I thought it'd be fine on TV, but no, I'm standing next to Lorraine, aren't I?"
"But it's still gorgeous!" Lorraine tried to dig herself out of it.
