Ben Shephard likened Lorraine Kelly to a Quality Street as she hosted her TV show this morning.
The presenter and his co-host Charlotte Hawkins crossed over to Lorraine in the studio as she prepared to host her daytime TV show earlier today and Ben couldn't help but make a funny dig at his friend as they discussed her show.
As they crossed between the studios, Lorraine looked amazing in a purple sparkly dress as she revealed what was on her show later today, including pop star Adam Lambert and actress Rachel Shenton.
"Morning Lorraine, you’re looking very festive today," Charlotte said, "What have you got for us?"
Lorraine complimented Charlotte's own dress, as she apologised to Ben for not referencing his outfit: "I love that dress. I know Ben, you always look lovely I don’t need to say that to you. It’s a given."
He joked: "Every day this week I have been watching you praise the girls. Poor old Adil [Ray] earlier on in the week didn’t get a sniff, Lorraine," but she defended herself as she added: "He knows he looks beautiful."
She then proceeded to tell viewers what they could expect from her show today, as she confessed she was dressing up for Adam Lambert: "This is why I have got this on. You have to dress up for Adam Lambert."
"Too right, a Christmas cracker I'd say," Ben replied before adding: "You like a Big Purple One in a Quality Street. You look like the delicious purple one, let’s leave it there."
And Lorraine was clearly pleased by the comparison as she added: "I do. I'll take that."
Lorraine and Ben have a close friendship and he recently dressed up in a kilt to mark her recent 62nd birthday.
"You see my reaction?" Lorraine said excitedly as she noted Ben's outfit.
He replied back: "I did see your reaction! My knees do that to people Lorraine," as Lorraine added: "Oh listen, you really rock that. You've done it in the way I like with the jumper and the nice boots and the socks and awww, that's lovely. You have made my day."
