Lorraine Kelly left in fits of laughter after joking about her sex life on live TV

Lorraine Kelly was left blushing after she blurted out a joke about her sex life live on air.

The Scots TV presenter cut to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langford to get the scoop on what’s in store for This Morning viewers earlier today, reports the Mirror.

When she asked what the main topic of discussion would be today, Eamonn responded: “Sex/Life Lorraine. Sex life…not ours, it’s a big show on Netflix.”

The 61-year-old Glaswegian then slipped out: “I’ve no idea what you’re talking about…it’s all behind me.”

Lorraine was left in fits of laughter when she realised what she had said - with Eamonn and Ruth joining in the hysterics.

The embarrassed star covered her face with her hands as she tried to get over the unintended blunder.

This isn't the first time this year that Lorraine has had a bit of fun well before the watershed.

Over the years, the presenter has been left giggling at jokes and innuendos on her show, with other conversations leaving the star in hysterics.

Back in May, Gavin and Stacey actor Rob Brydon reminded the Celebrity Gogglebox star to keep her show "family friendly" after another cheeky quip.

As the comedian and morning TV presenter chatted away, the topic of conversation turned discussing their sketch on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, which saw them donning balaclavas for a bank heist bit.

The mum-of-one confessed she’d accidentally nabbed a balaclava, with Rob questioning what exactly she needed the item for.

"I went away with the balaclava," she admitting, swiftly adding: "By mistake!"

It's not the first time the 61-year-old has made a risky comment before the watershed (ITV)

"I hope you’re not planning a heist," he told her, which Lorraine cheekily replied: "Or you know, anything nefarious."

"Lorraine!" the Welsh star exclaimed.

"I wasn’t going to go… see, I went heist for family friendly. I know what you’re thinking and I steered clear of that!”

‘You did, because you’re a very class act,’ she laughed in response.

However, Lorraine went back on her promise to the comedian to keep things "family friendly" within a matter of weeks.

The following month, she returned to her cheeky ways when a naked sculpture left her giggling.

Andi Peters was presenting the week's £250,000 cash prize competition one morning in June from a historic estate in Wales with a visible statue behind him.

As the 50-year-old's segment was coming to an end, he clocked the x-rated sculpture and quickly used the novelty large credit card to conceal the art's genitals.

"I'm so sorry." he told Lorraine adding: "Excuse me."

While giggling, Lorraine told Andi: "My eye was strangely drawn."
