Lorraine Kelly issues sly dig at Nadine Dorries as Susanna Reid tries to stifle laugh

By Rose Hill

Lorraine Kelly appeared to make a sly dig at Nadine Dorries as she dredged up the Tory MP's I'm A Celebrity past.

Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid tried to stifle a laugh as Lorraine asked whether the Culture Secretary ate a kangaroo's bottom or testicles.

It comes after Nadine hit the headlines after complaining about nepotism at the BBC, despite having employed two of her daughters with taxpayers' cash.

Speaking via video link to Susanna and co-host Alastair Campbell, she said: "I was just wondering about Nadine Dorries - did she eat a kangaroo's bottom or did she go out too soon?"

Alastair asked: "Or was in testicles?"

Susanna put her head in her hands as Lorraine exclaimed with a smirk: "Oh right ok! I was going to say there's not much difference, but there is."

As Susanna began to laugh, Lorraine said: "Anyway! Coming up! We're going to talk about the Carrie effect, we're live from Manchester. She spoke to the Tory party conference, of course. Also, Billy and Greg Shepherd are here to reveal what it's really like having your family life on screen all the time.

" Emily Atack tells me why I've got a surprise part in her new show, which is very funny. And, for goodness sakes! A Kylie Minogue worldwide exclusive as well. See that and loads more at 9 o'clock."

Susanna joked: "You wouldn't get that on the BBC."

Lorraine agreed with a grin: "You wouldn't! You would not!"

Susanna pointed out: "Particularly the bit about Nadine Dorries - it was a camel's toe and you were right about the ostrich part."

"Oh, it was ostriches - back or front?" asked Alastair.

As Lorraine made a face, Susanna continued: "Also a rotten egg as well. It was the Bushtucker Trial."

GMB then aired a picture of Nadine tucking into one of the treats, all three squealed in horror.

Alastair exclaimed: "Privatise her!"

Lorraine laughed: "Anyway! So classy we are, so classy."

"Lorraine, you started that," Alastair pointed out.
