Lorraine Kelly goes ‘bright red’ after asking George Clooney about kissing scene

Lorraine Kelly went “bright red” when she asked George Clooney and Julia Roberts about a kissing scene in their upcoming movie.

The two Hollywood A-listers star in British director Ol Parker’s Ticket to Paradise, in which they play two divorced parents who travel to Bali to prevent their daughter's marriage. George, 61, and Julia, 54, appeared on ITV's Lorraine on Wednesday to promote the film where they discussed the pair’s long working history and one particularly saucy scene.

Lorraine asked the stars about a “wee kissing scene” in their new movie, much to George’s amusement, as the Ocean’s Eleven actor joked: “That’s a strange phrase though, “a wee kissing scene”. I mean what time is this show on?’

Lorraine appeared visibly hot and bothered at discussing the scene with the Hollywood heartthrob, as Pretty Woman actress Julia pointed out: “Your cheeks are so pink now!” Lorraine tried in vain to keep her composure as the trio laughed, with the talk show veteran admitting: “I have actually gone bright red, but that’s okay. I’m being very calm and very cool.”

Julia replied: ‘It’s hard to be like that in front of George Clooney, isn’t it?’ To which George joked: ‘I don’t want to get into it but I was a two-time sexiest man alive.’

“They must’ve stopped you being in it, because it isn’t fair,” Lorraine quipped back. George replied: ‘Well they had to get pretty boy [Brad] Pitt in a couple of times ‘cause he runs a good campaign.’

Highlighting another raunchy scene in their new movie, Lorraine asked about a moment which sees George undress, which his co-star insisted was “right for his character.” “Between the wee kissing and now this, she’s really giving a lot of impressions of our film,” Julia joked.

George added: “You don’t do those kinds of things once you pass 60, so we did it very quickly.”

Lorraine airs on weekdays from 9am on ITV.
