Lorraine Kelly gobsmacked over 'creepy' birthday gift as she brands it 'silliest present ever'

Lorraine Kelly was taken aback after being surprised with a very unusual gift to celebrate her birthday.

The Scots presenter turned 63 today and was gifted with a thoughtful, but slightly bizarre present from co-star Andi Peters.

The ITV star was gifted a watermelon with her face intricately carved into it in a sweet gesture to celebrate the broadcaster's big day.

The TV personality remarked that it was the "silliest" present she had ever bee given, but admitted it was "a bit creepy".

This wasn't the only on-air surprise Lorraine received for her birthday, as Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis also had a treat for the Scots star too.

The presenting duo were back on our screens on Wednesday morning to wake up the nation with the biggest headlines from across the globe.

As always, the duo passed over to Lorraine towards the end of the episode to find out what she had coming up next on her show for viewers. However, Lorraine didn't expect to hear a choir belting out a rendition Happy Birthday alongside a performance from a female bagpipe player.

Lorraine Kelly was left stunned at her unique gift from Andi (ITV)

Lorraine looked emotional following after the surprise. She later thanked her ITV co-stars and said it was the "best start to a birthday anyone has had in their whole life".

Also on Wednesday's show, Lorraine discussed her meeting with Queen Consort Camilla after being one of many stars invited to Buckingham Palace as part of the United Nations' 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. Lorraine joined the likes of Spice Girl Mel B, Love Island star Zara McDermott, as well as survivors and families at the event.

Speaking of the event, Lorraine couldn't help but reveal how shocked she was at Camilla's petite stature. Lorraine was joined by Mark Heyes on Wednesday's show to discuss the event, where she explained: "She has been campaigning on this for ages.

"That's violence against women and children, here in the UK and of course all over the world. And she spoke really passionately about it, it was good because someone like her can really raise the profile of something so, so important.

"Mel B was there, obviously campaigning in her own right and has done amazing things, Fiona Bruce was there too and she has been an ambassador for refuge for decades."

Mark was desperate to ask: "Some amazing, amazing women there, I need to ask about Queen Consort Camilla, what was she like in person?"

Lorraine admitted: "Do you know what she was lovely, she is tiny! She is small and petite, really small and petite. Do you know how, I am always surprised at how wee people are in real life, but yeah she was so small."
