Lorraine Kelly 's interview with actor Tom Hollander sparked complaints on her morning show as viewers accused him of being rude.
Us star Tom and his co star Tom Taylor joined Lorraine via a video call, but Tom Taylor's connection was marred with issues.
Because of this, the interview had several awkward silences, not helped by the fact Lorraine asked the question to "Tom" and did not specify which Tom should answer first.
Talking about BBC drama Us, Lorraine said: "I loved this, I binged on this, Tom, it appeals to absolutely everybody."
There was a tense silence before Tom Hollander replied: "Which Tom are you speaking to?"
Lorraine joked back: "I am not going to call you old Tom... Mature Tom maybe?"
But a stony-faced Tom shot back: "Call me Tom Hollander."
Meanwhile, Tom Taylor was evidently unable to hear anything on the call and forced to end it early
"I believe we're having technical difficulties, there's a loud ringing noise," he said.
Lorraine laughed off the problems, and said: "I'm sorry Tommy! All these communication problems.
"It's like when you know you're phoning your pals and it's really hard because you're like 'what, what?'"
One viewer tweeted: "OMG #lorraine car crash interview with Tom Hollander!"
Another wrote: "This interview with the two Toms is excruciating #lorraine ".
"This interview is awful #lorraine " remarked a third.
But Lorraine retweeted an article about the negativity online, and said she actually thought Tom Hollander was great.
"I actually thought he was adorable - zoom calls can sometimes be tricky," she wrote.
But her fans still disagreed, with one replying: "Don’t know why he was grumpy..came across as petulant and sulky if you don’t like it...then don’t do interviews x".
"He was a real mardie a**e well done Lorraine !" added another.
