Lorraine Kelly fires dig at Dancing on Ice critics over 'raunchy' Ofcom complaints

Scottish television host Lorraine Kelly has hit out at Dancing On Ice critics, as she discusses former Love Island star Ekin-Su's "raunchy" routine on the ITV competition show on Sunday.

Lorraine was quick to chastise the critics, as over 100 complaints were sent to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom regarding the Love Island winner's Britney Spears routine. Speaking on her ITV show Lorraine, the host said: "This morning, over a hundred complaints have been made after Ekin-Su’s rather sexy dance routine on Sunday’s Dancing on Ice.

“The hundred of you, honestly, have you not got better things to do?"

Lorraine then introduced her co-star Scarlette Douglas, who was on hand to explain the complaints. The Scottish presenter added: "Anyway, Scarlette Douglas is here - she’s, of course, going to have to do it all over again this weekend, isn’t she?”

Scarlette replied: "She is indeed - now listen, yes okay it was a bit raunchy, it was a little bit provocative but she was imitating the dance routine in Toxic.

“She’s got that lovely costume and she looks amazing. It’s a dance routine, it’s kind of what Britney brought to it too, right?

“So, we see that from Beyonce, we’ve seen it from Britney too.”

Lorraine concluded the conversation by noting: "And as for the one hundred people who complained, she did get lots of positive comments as well."

Lorraine returns to ITV every weekday from 9am. Catch-up episodes are also available on the ITV Hub.
