Lorraine Kelly cuddles up with youthful lookalike mum as they glug champagne

Lorraine Kelly has shared a rare glimpse into what she gets up to when the cameras stop rolling as she posted a sweet snap with her lookalike mum.

The TV presenter, 60, beamed as she sat next to her mum Anne and her pal Betty, as the ladies treated themselves to a lunch at The Ivy in Glasgow.

Sharing the picture with her 332k Instagram followers, Lorraine wrote: "Ladies who lunch - me and my lovely mum and her pal Betty at The Ivy in Glasgow - fabulous grub and top service! @theivyglasgow #mum #happy #friends #love."

And fans were quick to point out the uncanny resemblance between Lorraine and her mum.

One fan wrote: "Aww lovely. You are so like your mama."

Another agreed: "Lovely pic. You look just like your mum," while a third added: "Aw 2 peas in a pod! Great photo. X."

The TV presenter shares a very close bond with her parents, and that bond was documented on her show last year.

She was left emotional on her show after a special message from her parents as she celebrated 35 years in broadcasting .

Her usual morning show was replaced slightly, with segments about her early career right up to the show in present day.

From her days on GMTV and prior to this, as well as a look back from the first days of her self-titled daytime show, there was a mix of special messages, returning guests and throwbacks.

But one moment that left the host super-surprised and emotional was when her parents sent her a little message.

Her mum and dad revealed how proud they were of their daughter, who was seen at the bottom of the screen welling up.

Anne said: "35 years on television, it's really hard to believe. She's very clever and she did very well. We think the world of her."

She added: "We don’t say it as much as we should. We’re not ‘lovey-dovey’... She knows we love her. We’re very proud of her."

Her dad John added of her career: "She enjoys it very much."

And Lorraine's looks have definitely been passed on to her stunning daughter Rosie.
