Lorraine Kelly calls for 'unleashed' late-night version of her ITV daytime show

Lorraine Kelly has called for an unfiltered post-watershed version of her ITV daytime show.

The presenter, 61, who has hosted the weekly breakfast show since 2012, said viewers would be shocked by off-camera conversations that occur between her and the experts and she wants to be 'unleashed'.

Lorraine said the discussions she has with guests such as Dr Hilary Jones between advert breaks are 'unbroadcastable' and she'd like an adults-only show to let rip.

Speaking to Psychologies magazine about her idea for a new series, Lorraine said: "I would love to do a late-night version of my show with the same experts such as Dr Hilary.

"Some of the chats we have when adverts are on are hilarious and unbroadcastable. "We'd call it 'Lorraine: Unleashed'!"

It is not the first time the presenter has admitted she wants to push boundaries.

Last year, host of The Masked Singer Joel Dommett asked if Lorraine would like to do some comedy after the watershed.

A giggling Lorraine joked: "I could. I would be unleashed."

Last month, she apologised after Olympic skier and Dancing On Ice star Graham Bell said "s**t" on air.

At the end of the interview, Lorraine said: "Sorry for that wee naughty word that slipped out from Graham there."

Lorraine's calls for an adult-only show come after her colleague Piers Morgan dramatically quit Good Morning Britain after refusing to apologise over his comments about Meghan Markle.

Morgan is said to have turned down the chance to say sorry to Markle for his outburst about her mental health and decided to part ways of the show instead.

Lorraine revealed that he shared the news with her via email minutes before the announcement of his departure was made.

She said the studios would be a lot 'quieter and calmer' without him.
