Lorraine Kelly blushes and tells Good Morning Britain's Ben Shephard to 'behave' over remark as she dons red leather

Loraine Kelly was left blushing as she appeared on Good Morning Britain. The presenter was doing her usual crossover with the ITV news programme ahead of the penultimate episode of her own self-titled show of the week.

She joined Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway from the neighbouring studio as they appeared from 6am on GMB bringing viewers the latest news headlines, debates and entertainment news. And after teasing what was coming up on her ITV show, Ben couldn't help but mention his ITV colleague's choice of attire.

"Lorraine..." Ben remarked before his co-star Kate interrupted to get straight to the point, seemingly hinting that they had already both noted the Scottish presenter's wardrobe choice. "Are you wearing red leather?" she asked.

"Is that a red leather zip-up top you've got on?" Ben then added. "I might be..." 63-year-old Lorraine replied with a wry smile before asking: "Why?" Kate replied: "Hello!" appearing to be shocked before saying: "You look fab!"

"There's a lot of very positive comments from the studio here," Ben revealed to a smiling Lorraine. "Oh, I squeezed myself into it! I can't move now," she admitted with a laugh. "You look lovely," Kate stated before Ben chimed in by saying: "Sensational."

"Behave!" Lorraine then ordered her colleagues as she started to blush over their response. "Talcum powder is useful for those things," Kate advised, to which Lorraine replied: "Always, always."

It comes days after Lorraine broke her silence in 'rift' claims between Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. The presenter crossed over the pair live in the This Morning studio on Monday (May 15) as they appeared on screen for the first time since reports suggested the daytime show's hosts are 'barely speaking' behind the scenes.

It was claimed that Phillip's pre-planned absence from the programme last month around his brother’s sex abuse trial contributed to a "cooling" of their friendship. But Monday's show is the first time the pair have been seen together since 61-year-old Phillip issued an unexpected statement in which he defended his relationship with Holly, 42, who he continued to claim is his 'rock'.

Holly and Phillip were all smiles as they appeared live to millions this morning. Lorraine Kelly crossed over to the pair to find out what was coming up on This Morning towards the end of her self-titled talk show. Sitting next to each other with smiles on their faces, the duo shared what fans can expect from the latest episode.

The duo have since returned to the famous sofa as they continue on as normal. Meanwhile, Lorraine has had her say, saying she would be "sad" to see either of them leave This Morning. Speaking to The Sun, she said: "Do you know what they were back today and it was business as usual and everyone is just getting on with it. I would be sad if they left the show but I don’t think that is ever likely to happen and I think they’re just getting on with it."

The 63-year-old admitted that the presenting duo are "unlikely" to be replaced or given the boot. Meanwhile, Lorraine has been sharing news about her own career.

The presenter, who hosts her own self-titled show every weekday morning on ITV, has announced she will be releasing her debut novel, which is due to be published next year. She said she had always wanted to write fiction and had felt that it was now the “right time” to do so. Titled The Island Swimmer, the book is due to be published on February 15 2024, by Orion Publishing.
