Lorraine Kelly blamed her coronavirus vaccine after making a mortifying Ed Sheeran error live on her show on Monday morning, as she called him by the wrong name.
The popular TV host kicked off a new week by discussing the Eurovision Song Contest with studio guest, Radio 1 DJ and former X Factor judge Nick Grimshaw.
The UK's humiliating night, which saw James Newman get no points, was the main topic of conversation and it was when discussing the UK's future in the competition that multi-platinum singer Ed cropped up.
Lorraine told Nick that H from Steps had tweeted that the pop group should fly the flag for the UK at Eurovision, while Strictly champion Bill Bailey has also offered his services.
She then said that rapper Big Narstie was too keen to compete along with "Tim Sheeran," before quickly correcting herself, saying: "Sorry Ed Sheeran! Tim Sheeran who's he? Maybe that's who we'll send!"
Nick also spoke to Lorraine about the upcoming Radio 1 One Big Weekend and some of the acts who are lined up to appear.
A series of music stars then flashed up on the screen behind then, including Castle on a Hill and Perfect singer Ed and Lorraine exclaimed: "look, there's Tim!" to which Nick joked: "so Tim's going to be there."
Clearly still mortified by her earlier mishap, Lorraine replied: "why did I call him Tim Sheeran?!
"In my defence, I did have my second vaccine on Friday and I've not been quite with it."
Nick responded: "it's the vaccine. It's one of the side effects, it makes you confuse Ed Sheeran's name!"
Lorraine told Nick that she thinks the UK act for Eurovision in the future should be the winner of Ru Paul's Drag Race UK, with them both agreeing that United Kingdolls' UK Hun would have gone down a storm in Rotterdam.
