Lorraine Kelly has been accused of throwing shade at Esther McVey in a very awkward moment on Good Morning Britain today.
The Scottish telly favourite, 59, was taking part in a live link with the GMB studio to promote her Lorraine show today.
Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were joined by their guests, Tory leadership contender McVey who had just been interviewed on the show.
Susanna asked the telly host if she remembered McVey from their days on GMTV, the morning show which they both used to work on.
Lorraine's cheerful persona seemed to drop for a brief moment as she looked stony-faced as she replied with a blunt: "Yep. Yes I do".
Piers couldn't resist needling the star over the awkward moment, asking: "So you got on with Esther then Lorraine?"
Lorraine looked flustered as she replied: "I don't remember, I don't remember, I don't remember at all. It was a long time ago."
Piers went on: "Ooh if looks could kill!"
Good Morning Britain viewers became convinced there's some kind of 'beef' between Lorraine and McVey and they flocked to social media to debate it.
In a post on Facebook , one wrote: " Ooh now then, something’s gone on between Esther Mcvey & Lorraine Kelly!!"
Another tweeted: "Think Esther McVee should be a guest on Lo rraine - it would be the first time ever that Lorraine doesn’t ‘really really like’ someone, or think they’re ‘amazing’ or ‘really really love’ everything they do..."
A third wrote: "You just know lorraine has got something juicy on EsterMcVey gmb... we want answers."
Another commented: "New found respect for Lorraine Kelly. Her ass is on fire this morning . Scottish through and through. You go girl."
