Lorraine was surprised with a birthday serenade from Good Morning Britain's choir and bagpiper.
During the usual programme handover, GMB's Susanna Reid revealed the show had a special treat in store for Lorraine. With the presenter waiting patiently on a video call from her own studio, she was initially confused as things went off script.
Lorraine was happy to hear the bagpipes kick off proceedings but was left in awe once a choir chimed in. As they sang Happy Birthday to the presenter, she was forced to cover her mouth with her hands in pleasant surprise.

After the performance, she said: "That's so sweet! That is the best thing in the world. Thank you so much and a gorgeous female piper and the choir... That's the best start to a birthday anyone ever had in their life, thank you very much!"
That wasn't the end of the birthday festivities as she was later treated to a series of unusual gifts including her dogs printed on a mug and her face carved into a watermelon throughout the show.
