Loris Karius is set to make a sensational return to Liverpool, according to reports.
The German shot-stopper is expected to be back at Anfield iat the end of the season, two years on from his Champions League final nightmare against Real Madrid.
A double clanger from the goalkeeper saw Los Blancos win the European cup at the expense of the Reds in 2018, prompting Liverpool to unceremoniously ship Karius out on loan to Besiktas.
Karius, 26, has had a turbulent two-year loan spell in Turkey, and the club has no plans to trigger the £7.25million clause in his contract to make the switch permanent.
According to The Athletic, sources close to Karius are confident he will be back at Anfield in the summer, unless another club swoops for him before then.
Karius will be returning to a much-changed Liverpool from the side he left just two years ago.
Jurgen Klopp has made a number of signings since his departure, including that of number one shot-stopper Alisson.
The Brazilian is regarded one of Liverpool's best players, meaning Karius has little to no chance of getting in the team ahead of the former Roma man.
Karius may also struggle to be considered a back-up option to Alisson at Liverpool.
The Reds signed former West Ham keeper Adrian on a free in the summer, with the shot-stopper putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Adrian has proven himself a safe pair of hands when called upon.
