Loris Karius reveals what Mohamed Salah is really like in Liverpool dressing room

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has praised teammate Mohamed Salah's work ethic and outlined the impact he's had on the team.

The 28-year-old had already been at Anfield for a year before Salah's arrival in the summer of 2017.

The Egyptian has now scored over 130 goals for the club, continues to break record after record and he operates at a level Karius has 'never seen before.'

"I mean we’re top level here so every day is a pleasure you know.," he told Fabrizio Romano via Twitch. "But I think the most impactful, if you want to say, is the first season [Mohamed] Salah came in.

“He came from Roma and no one really knew what to expect. I didn’t see a lot of him but you could tell he was a good player.

“He came in and had the most amazing season, he scored goals where people thought ‘wow, how did he do this?’

“He took us, he was winning games for us you know, when it’s close, I don’t know how many goals he scored.

“He scored four goals in one game, it was just incredible and I’ve never seen something like this. It really surprised me.”

The shot-stopper, who has been absent for six weeks with a shoulder injury, described the winger as 'quiet' in the dressing room, but his modesty and hard work is always evident.

Karius continued: “He’s a humble guy. He gets on with everyone. He’s not the loudest.

“He’s very hard working, you always see him before in the gym. One of the first ones in, doing his extra things., outside he’s always practicing the things.

“It doesn’t just come that he steps on the pitch and does wonders, it’s the work he puts in behind the doors and that’s what he does you know.

“He’s really working hard, he’s never satisfied. You can see this even when you watch on TV, if he misses a chance or something."
