The "Royals" singer, 19, found herself as a passenger in an Uber car with a driver who was rather more excited about the actual celebrity he had driven before her.
Lorde dryly set the scene on Twitter: “Uber driver currently busting a nut about the fact that there was a 'celebrity passenger' just before me.”
The identity of the passenger who overshadowed her so overwhelmingly remains unknown.
