Lorde’s Onion Ring Finsta Is Active Again!!!

I’ve been eagerly awaiting a new Lorde album for years now and at this point, I’ll honestly take anything she gives us, music or otherwise.

The singer is back on her BS, and by BS, I mean her sick-ass onion ring review Insta, @onionringsworldwide, a page dedicated to rating some of the world’s finest onion rings.

After a lengthy hiatus, Lorde is back with a brand new onion ring review, this time setting her sights (and her chompers) on the Hotel Ponsonby establishment.

“Yoosh lads back with another ring post…” she begins the review. “These were from the Hotel Ponsonby establishment, we’re talking PICKLED onion rings which is a first for this reviewer. I totally vibe the concept— used to eat pickled onions out of the jar as a youngster— however I think if you’re gonna go there, go there, and let acidity rather than sweetness dominate.”

All in all, it must have been a pretty sweet experience as she rated the rings 4/5, which is pretty schmick.

“Absolutely sensational batter, perhaps the best I’ve tried. 4/5 overall ringsperience.”

Lorde reportedly has some new tunes on the way and a few weeks back, she surprised stans with an unexpected performance.

The singer joined fellow musician Marlon Williams for a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Tougher than the Rest’, via Pitchfork.

Vids of the pair surfaced on social media, showing Lorde (whose real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor) and Williams singing together onstage and it was fab to see our gal back out in the wild again.

Observe:

Last year, Lorde shared an IG update on her new album, which I’m sure we can expect v. soon.

“I started going back to the studio in December [2019], just for something to do, and to my surprise, good things came out,” she wrote to fans in May 2020. “Happy, playful things. I felt my melodic muscles flexing and strengthening.”

The singer, who is collaborating with producer Jack Antonoff on the forthcoming album, went on to say that the pandemic brought the production of her new album to a grinding halt.

“Things started to take shape. And then, of course, the world shut down,” she said, adding that “the work is so fucking good, my friend.

“I am truly jazzed for you to hear it.”

As are we, doll. As are we.
