Lorde has hinted that she’s very much at work on a third album in a reflective Instagram story, causing fans to take to Twitter to rejoice.
Acknowledging the two-year anniversary of her 2017 album Melodrama and thanking her fans for their support, she confirmed that her third offering was “in the oven”.
“Want to say thank you for how you took that record and made it your own,” she said of her gratitude to her fans for their support of her second record.
“Swells my damn heart thinking about your love for it and your willingness to go there with me and to dance the way we did together.
“It’s a good life you’ve given me, thank you thank you,” she said, commenting on how much she has “grown” since Melodrama was released.
The “Royals” star has also previously confirmed that she was learning piano for her new record.
“I think this next one will probably be born out of the piano in my house; me and my friends, keeping it simple,” she said. “But we’ll see.”
