Lord Sugar claims Piers Morgan 'pushed his luck' as predicts new job after GMB exit

Lord Alan Sugar has responded to Piers Morgan's shock announcement he is leaving Good Morning Britain.

The businessman says the controversial host 'pushed his luck' after ITV shared that Piers has decided to quit the role - and he thinks the host already has another job lined up.

Taking to Twitter after the news broke, Lord Sugar, who hasn't always seen eye-to-eye with the presenter, wrote: " @piersmorgan pushed his luck. I think he might have something else lined up watch this space."

It appears it wasn't just Lord Sugar who believes Piers has something else up his sleeve after announcing his departure.

Twitter users flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts, with one writing: "Please tell me hes joining GB News."

Another argued: "This time next month GMB viewing figures will be through the floor. People switched channels because of him, people also started watching GMB because of him."

But a third disagreed, adding: "I hope we never have to see him on our TV screens again."

Piers' exit from the ITV daytime show comes after watchdog Ofcom received more than 41,000 complaints about his comments over Meghan Markle's 'suicidal' thoughts.

Shortly after, the TV star revealed he is quitting the panel, where he joins co-star Susanna Reid daily to update viewers on all the latest news.

It's unknown what his next move will be, but it seems Piers' fans will follow him no matter what he chooses to do.

He is yet to share what his future plans are and has not said anything since the announcement was made by ITV.
