Lord of the Rings comes to Netflix at last this November

The seminal fantasy trilogy from director Peter Jackson is finally coming to Netflix.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy comprises of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.

The entire run of films will be made available on UK Netflix from November 1.

The series, based on J.R.R. Tolkien's classic novels, revolves around a quest by hobbit Frodo Baggins ( Elijah Wood ) to destroy the evil and all-powerful One Ring in the fires of where it was created by the dark lord Sauron, Mount Doom in Mordor.

Also featured in the films are Ian McKellen as wizard Gandalf, Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn, Liv Tyler as Arwen, Orlando Bloom as Legolad, Sean Astin as Samwise Gamgee, Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, and many more.

The franchise will also be moving to television for Amazon's upcoming TV prequel, while Peter Jackson recently worked on acclaimed WW1 documentary They Shall Not Grow Old.

The Lord of the Rings drops on Netflix on November 1.
