Lord Archer is not one to dwell on the past. And he doesn’t like it when others dwell on it either.
The novelist and Tory life peer appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Afternoon Edition on Tuesday, to plug his new book Mightier Than The Sword, the seventh Clifton Chronicle.
But he proved that nothing is mightier than the tongue when presenter Sarah Brett dared to ask him if he still thought about his two years in jail for perjury.
“Only when people like you bring it up,” snapped Archer. “The BBC are fascinated by it, but I find most people don’t mention it from one year to the next. The BBC do. You are only interested in failure.”
