Loose Women viewers in stitches as Denise Welch makes hilarious joke about Coleen Nolan's cat

Loose Women's Denise Welch left viewers in stitches this afternoon, after she made a hilarious joke about Coleen Nolan's 'p***y' on air.

Nolan, 54, returned to the daytime TV chat show today, revealing her cat Lily is now pregnant after running off with a local tomcat.

Welch, 61, was quick to spot an opportunity to make a joke at Nolan's expense, commenting: "Well as least one of your p*****s is getting a bit of action."

Viewers at home were quick to react to the witty remark online.

One viewer responded: "Oh, Denise 😂😂😂."

While another commented: "Loves you."

Andrea McLean was then forced to apologise for the crude joke (ITV)

Naturally, the adult humour was also mildly inappropriate for pre-watershed, forcing host Andrea McLean to apologise for any offence caused.

A rather stern-looking McLean addressed the camera, saying: "That was obviously a joke and we apologise if anyone was offended by that."

Meanwhile, Welch's fellow panellist chimed in: "Only she [Welch] could have said it and got away with it."

Not convinced that statement is true, Welch nervously replied: "I probably won't get away with it, believe you me."

Indeed, some viewers were left a little riled by Welch's X-rated joke, with one person saying: "Well this sexual reference is before the 9pm watershed and is not acceptable by Ofcom."

Another viewer agreed: "Do you REALLY think this is acceptable on daytime television? The Loose Women appear to be a little TOO loose.."

While Denise's cat joke may have divided some, many viewers praised the TV personality for her comments about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision to step down from their senior roles.
