Loose Women swoon as Gino D'Acampo shares secrets to sudden weight loss

The Loose Women panelists gushed as Gino D'Acampo shared the secrets to his sudden weight loss.

Wednesday's edition of the ITV show was anchored by Kaye Adams, who was joined by Denise Welch, Brenda Edwards and Linda Robson. They interviewed the popular chef over his new book, Like Mamma used to Make, which was released last week.

However, the panelists were taken aback at the start of the interview as they probed the chef on his sudden weight loss. Gino left the panelists in disbelief when he confirmed he shed "a few kilos" over the summer when he was in Sardinia.

Kaye quizzed Gino on how he managed to lose weight in a country renowned for its delicious pizza and pasta. However, Gino revealed the secret was to have the tasty foods in moderation.

He said: "The Italian diet is a healthy diet. You just have to control portion and what you put with it."

Gino also spoke about his new ITV series, which features the same title as his book. The chef has travelled across Italy in the series to celebrate the women who have fuelled and fed his fellow Italians through the ages.

The next episode is set to air on Sunday at 7.30pm on ITV, where he explores the region of Emilia Romagna.
