Loose Women star 'stopped by police' at COP26 conference for 'dodgy' behaviour

Loose Women star Kaye Adams has claimed she was 'stopped by the police' while outside of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference.

The journalist and presenter told her followers on social media that officers outside the COP26 conference in Glasgow thought she was "dodgy".

Kaye, 58, had been sharing videos from outside the climate change conference to her Instagram story when she was approached by a plain clothes police officer.

One of her videos showed the crowds gathered outside as she wrote: "Great to see people from all over the world #COP26."

Her next post read: "Amazing to think the future of the planet is being discussed behind these turnstiles… "

But then she added: "Just slightly concerned to be stopped and questioned by a plain clothes police officer who thought I was dodgy…"

Kaye then took to Twitter and shared: "Just got stopped and questioned by a plain clothes police officer near #COP26 for acting ‘surreptitiously’.

"Never been accused of that before."

Kaye explained further after a follower asked her: "Were you being suspiciously surreptitious?", with her responding: "Secretive filming apparently. I had my secretive iPhone in my secretive hand."

But she did see the funny side when another asked her: "What were you wearing Kaye?"

To which she joked: "A Spiderman outfit. What’s your point caller?"
