Loose Women star Mariella Frostrup revealed how her Christmas plans were thrown into chaos when her husband had to visit hospital.
The Irish journalist, 63, joined the ITV talk show today with host Kaye Adams, and fellow panellists Olivia Attwood Dack and Nadia Sawalha.
During a conversation about how the women were getting ready for Christmas, Frostrup said her plans had been thrown into jeopardy when her husband fell off a ladder and fractured his arm.
"My husband, who's really the most festive one of all of us. He gets really excited by Christmas, it's really annoying," she said.

"He was up the ladder stringing festive lights in the garden. He fell off the ladder and broke his right arm. So, spent hours and hours in A&E.”
While Frostrup said she felt sympathetic towards her partner, she joked him hurting his right arm means she’s now going to have to do all the Christmas preparation herself.
"Yes, I felt very sorry for him, but at the same time, I felt sorry for me because I realised we've got 14 people coming for Christmas, including kids. He's right handed, it was his right arm. And so, guess who is now doing everything?!"
She then joked: “I’m not inciting you to do this because obviously it's dangerous, but I'm surprised that more women, in particular, aren't throwing themselves off ladders just to end the frenzy. There's so much, it's too much."
Adams then asked: "But is that not your choice?".
To which Frostrup responded: "You don't get to choose whether it's Christmas or not!"
Frostrup is married to human rights lawyer Jason McCue. The couple live in Somerset, and they share two children together.
Recently, ITV bosses confirmed the Loose Women panel wouldn’t be changing next year - following budget cuts at the broadcaster.
Next year, the show will go down to a part-time, reduced run of 30 weeks a year - but ITV hopes the same stars will take part.
“We always said we valued the Loose Women and that we wouldn’t be changing the panel, so viewers can look forward to seeing the familiar line up in the New Year,” a spokesperson said.
