Loose Women's serious conversation about mental health interrupted by adorable guest

Loose Women 's Nadia Sawalha's heartfelt revelation about her father's health on Monday's episode was rudely interrupted but in the most adorable way.

The panel show is back, but presenters Andrea McLean and Brenda Edwards joined Nadia in bigger studio than normal.

The trio were socially distanced apart from one another, and Coleen Nolan joined via video link.

Coleen opened up on her cat having seven kittens recently and said the labour was even more traumatic than her own.

Brenda begged Coleen to show her the kittens, and Coleen said she would fetch two as that was the most she could carry because they were wriggly.

While Coleen popped off screen, the conversation turned serious as Andrea asked Nadia how she had been coping during the coronavirus lockdown.

Nadia revealed she was incredibly anxious about coming back into work.

"I'm quite anxious but I'm excited as well," she said.

"In the first week, I was in a really bad way because my dad had a heart operation and I was really nervous about that."

She continued to say that the news depressed her and she went "really downhill really quickly", feeling "completely hopeless".

But while she was talking, a meowing sound could be heard as Coleen, off-screen, returned with the kittens.

Andrea then talked about her own lockdown experience, and revealed for the first time that she suffered from a nervous breakdown last year.

But as the conversation continued, Brenda could not resist any longer and she began to coo over the kitten noise, as the camera cut to Coleen who was holding two in her arms.

Coleen said: "You're all saying you're feeling a bit stressed, you should have all come here and played with the kittens!"
