Loose Women's Saira Khan turns 50 as pals and fans fawn over how youthful she looks

Saira Khan is 50 today!

The Loose Women panellist revealed her decadent cake on social media, topped with the words "Happy 50th" in gold lettering.

"I can't believe I'm 50!" she wrote, "In my head I'm still 18! #50th #lockdownbirthday."

The fan favourite was flooded with kind words and well wishes from her star-studded list of mates, including from fellow ITV staple Alison Hammond.

"Happy 50th birthday my lovely," Alison gushed, "So many people didn't get to this milestone.

"You are smashing it!"

Countryfile's Anita Rani chimed in: "Happy birthday! Still look 18 x."

Lizzie Cundy offered: "Wow happiest of birthdays my darling friend! Fellow Taurus."

Meanwhile, fellow Loose Woman Christine Lampard penned: "Happy birthday gorgeous."

Saira's found a silver-lining to lockdown recently as she follows in Joe Wicks' footsteps and demonstrates her quarantine workout routines.

"I never really understood what people meant when they said that you can have a virtual family," she wrote after the positive responses to her videos, "I do now."

She's also been voicing concern over the effect that coronavirus has had on the British Asian community.

Saira posted a video titled "An Urgent Message for the British Asian Community", in which British Asians discussed the proper measures to take to save as many lives as possible.

"One third of COVID patients are Asian," Saira wrote, "Without question we are faced with the greatest threat to our lives in recent history.

"For the British Asian community, the coronavirus is even more serious. We will all look back at this moment and wonder what did we do to help?

"Today we can all save lives."

She went on to urge adherence to the government's guidelines on how to prevent the spread of the deadly bug -including social distancing and protection of the elderly.
