Loose Women's Ruth Langsford scolded by co-star as she bares 'nasty' trait

Ruth Langsford was scolded by her co-star on today's Loose Women.

The broadcaster returned to front Wednesday's edition of the popular ITV programme. She anchored discussions between panelists Janet Street-Porter, Dame Kelly Holmes and Linda Robson.

The Loose Women tackled topics such as whether it's ok to stay friends with you ex's family after a break up. Ruth admitted she prefers to completely cut ties after a split.

However, this sparked a spat as Janet blasted this trait. She said: "Linda and I are civilised and you've just demonstrated a rather secret, nasty part of your personality."

Ruth rushed to defend herself as she shot back: "It could be a perfectly amicable break-up but if I'm breaking up with you, then I don't want to be with you so move on, we've got all new lived to leave.

"Your ex-partner doesn't know when you're going to turn up. We've done that bit of our lives."

Janet wouldn't let the issue drop as she continued to criticise the anchor in the heated spat. Ruth said: "You're putting words into my mouth Janet Street Porter.

"It's obviously different if you have children but I'm talking when you're younger with boyfriends."
