Loose Women's Ruth Langsford forced to apologise for awkward sound blunder

Loose Women host Ruth Langsford was forced to apologise during Tuesday's show after the ITV programme suffered a sound blunder.

Ruth was joined on the panel by Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Gloria Hunniford as the series returned for the first episode of 2022 following the Christmas break.

Gloria, 81, was dressed as her alter ego from The Masked Singer, Snow Leopard, and was keen to talk about her experience on the ITV singing show.

However, as she chatted away about The Masked singer, TV chef Phil Vickery could be heard talking elsewhere.

The 60-year-old had appeared on Tuesday's This Morning alongside Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary - and clearly someone forgot to turn his mic off.

As Gloria chatted away, Ruth butted in and said: "Sorry one second, I think we can hear another programme sound breaking through there."

"Is that Jonathan Ross breaking in again?" Gloria joked, referring to one of the panelists on The Masked Singer.

"Who's interrupting Snow Leopard? How rude!" Ruth then commented as Phil's voice suddenly went quiet.

Elsewhere on Tuesday's show, Gloria got quite upset as she spoke about her daughter Caron Keating and her death in 2004.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
