Penny Lancaster has shared that she has started the menopause.
The 49-year-old, who is married to rocker Rod Stewart, 75, told that she first worried she had the coronavirus before realising that she had her last period in March and was in fact starting the menopause, during Monday's Loose Women.
The model said that she was worried that she had contracted the deadly bug when she woke up in the night with sweats and grew concerned as her temperature kept going up and down.
She also said she began to suffer from bad dreams and weight gain - which are other symptoms that happens to women as they reach their mid 40s.

Penny shared with the panel: "I had a dream that my little one drowned, woke up in a complete panic and was getting these severely hot sweats and thought I was going to pass it to the family."
She then added that she realised it was not Covid-19 but that she was going through 'the change'.

Penny explained: "I started the menopause, I had my last period in march so I am at that age now."
She also delved into how her husband dealt with her symptoms and admitted that she has been open with Rod about how hard she is finding it to manage the change in her hormones and mood swings.
Penny said: "Well you probably know from the past conversations, out relationship we have a very close and intimate and close relationship I speak to him how I feel in the lead up to my periods."


Detailing how she is struggling, the star shared: "One day I was cooking in the kitchen and everything went wrong and I ended up throwing the dinner and screaming."
Sharing how her sons and Rod tried to comfort her, she added that they rallied around her but she added: "I try to explain to the boys and Rod but I don’t understand myself."
