There was a big shock for regular viewers of Loose Women on Wednesday when a new face sat at the head of the panel on the ITV show.
During its 20 years of being on screen, the lunchtime talk show has had a host of different women at the helm including Kay Adams, Kate Thornton, Jackie Brambles and Andrea McLean but today's show brought a host no-one saw coming, ITV newsreader Charlene White.
This Morning host Eamonn Holmes was surprised to see Charlene, when he crossed over to the Loose Women studio, saying: "I was looking at you on the news yesterday and I thought, she must have some big event coming up and now look what it is!
Charlene replied: "It is a big event, me being in the hot seat on Loose Women, Eamonn!" and then at the start of the show she joked: "Don't worry...you've not lost an hour...this isn't the news, this is Loose Women!"
Charlene was in charge of a panel that included Stacey Solomon, Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards and fans were stunned to see her on it, while welcoming her with open arms.
One tweeted: "Absolutely loving @CharleneWhite on @loosewomen a great addition to an already brilliant show," and another posted: "Just tuned in - had no clue you were hosting until I saw you! What a lovely surprise!"
A third reacted: " @CharleneWhite on @loosewomen?!!! @ITV you are just spoiling us now!!!"
