Loose Women's Linda Robson breaks down over sudden loss of beloved family member

Linda Robson has revealed that she is completely distraught over the sad death of a beloved family member.

The Loose Women star broke down into tears on today's show when she opened up about losing her precious pooch Ernie, who recently passed away.

Linda, 60, described her late bulldog puppy as 'one of the family' after she grew an unbreakable bond with the deaf pup, who sadly passed away after a spine injury.

The TV star explained that four-year-old Ernie had to be put down following the painful spinal injury.

Despite her sadness, it wasn't just Linda who felt the impact of losing the puppy as she revealed that her grandchildren and her daughter were completely devastated after Ernie died.

Wiping away the tears on Loose Women, she explained: "Just over a week ago we lost our little dog Ernie.

"He was a French bulldog. We had him just over four years and not long after we got him we found out he was deaf.

"He was the loveliest little dog honestly, my grandchildren are absolutely distraught, as is my daughter, whose dog it was really."

The upset TV star continued: "He was part of the family, even though he couldn't hear, when you came in the house, I don't know if it was the vibration or the smell of us or whatever, he would run down the stairs to see us.

"Everyone knew him, because we've got a window in our lounge and it's got a blind on it that's always up.

"Because he sits on the window while we're out and waits for us to come back.

"And now since he passed away, we've got the blind closed."

The Birds Of A Feather actress said that her home now feels completely empty without her precious pooch.

The family decided to get Ernie cremated so that they could keep his ashes close by in the home where he lived.

After watching Linda's appearance on Loose Women today, fans flocked to Twitter to share their support for the actress.

"So upsetting watching Linda Robson talk about the death of her puppy. There's people that are saying it was only a dog, but sometimes, a dog can feel like more apart of the family than an actual human can. Just so sad," shared one viewer.

While a second echoed: "God bless poor Linda. So hard to see her break down about her poor pup."

"Sending Linda all the love today. Losing someone you love is never easy - it doesn't matter if it's an animal or human being."
