Loose Women's Kéllé Bryan upset as she announces Hollyoaks departure

Loose Women's Kéllé Bryan announced tonight will be her final scene in Hollyoaks as she leaves the show.

Opening today's Loose Women with some bad news, Kéllé issued an update on the future of her Hollyoaks character, Martine Deveraux. Tonight's episode will be the last time she makes an appearance in the village as she reveals she's called it quits for the Channel 4 drama.

Kéllé said: "Gosh this is weird it's like a secret I've been keeping for so long so actually saying it out loud feels really weird. Tonight on Hollyoaks will be my last scene.

"So, yeah, I'm departing the show after four years of playing the same character. I'm off, so tonight the Hollyoaks fans will be able to see what happens to Martine and all the dynamics between myself and Richard Blackwood, who plays my husband."

After a clip from tonight's show aired, Kéllé said she was "upset" watching the footage. She went on to thank both the cast and production team for making her stay on the show so welcoming and she will be taking a lot of memories with her.

Moving to Liverpool for the role, the actress said she had no plans of leaving the city anytime soon as her family adore their new home. She added: "I love the city so much I'm staying there."
