Loose Women's Judi Love 'too anxious' to send her children straight back to school

Loose Women panelist Judi Love has told how she intends to keep her children away from school.

Today marks the partial reopening of schools across England as part of the easing of lockdown, with Reception, Year One and Year Six kids going back first.

While Jane Moore said she never would have taken her kids out of school had that been an option, Judi wasn't so sure.

Speaking from her home, the star - who turns 40 today - told that her anxiety forbade her from sending hers back, especially as her son has a history of respiratory illness.

Judi also has a daughter.

"I'm still very apprehensive about it," she told Jane, Andrea McLean and Denise Welch.

"I probably won't send them back straight away. I feel like the first couple of weeks will be a practise run.

"As a mum, I'm a bit nervous. My son has had a history of respiratory illnesses, and I would be projecting so much of my anxiety and nervousness onto the school...let it be settled for a couple of weeks, and then maybe..."

Judi may not be alone, as recent surveys suggest many parents in England will still opt to keep their children home despite the go ahead from the government.

The National Foundation for Educational Research found that just under half of all parents won't be letting their kids go to class.

Meanwhile, 25% of teachers won't be attending either, due to their own or their families' health conditions.

From today, groups of six can also meet in outdoors.
