Loose Women's Joe Swash says Stacey Solomon 'gets the bug' as he shares family update

Joe Swash has opened up on his future family plans with Stacey Solomon.

The former EastEnders star tied the knot with the Sort Your Life out presenter last year and they have three children together. The two also have kids from previous relationships and are the proud parents of six children in their blended family.

Joe appeared on today's edition of Loose Women and was asked by the panel whether there are any plans to add another bundle of joy to Pickle Cottage. Joe wouldn't rule out any new family additions but said it wouldn't be in the immediate future.

He said: "We do love having kids. Every time they go from three months to a toddler Stacey gets bug again. But, listen, I love kids and I'd definitely have more but I don't think it's in our future yet."

Joe appeared on the show to discuss his new documentary, which takes a look at the foster care system. He was inspired to put the spotlight on the subject after a Government review into kids’ social care found the system has been woefully underfunded for more than a decade by successive Tory governments.

He also has a personal reason for wanting to get involved as his mum Kiffy, has been a foster carer for 15 years. Joe told the Loose Women that he will consider fostering children in the future.

He said: "We've seen the benefits from my family and what it does and we've said if we are physically capable of doing it and we love kids, that once our kids have flown the nest and we can get rid of them, yeah, we'll definitely think about [it]."

Joe Swash: Teens in Care airs tomorrow on BBC One at 9pm
