Loose Women star Janet Street Porter, 74, has opened up about a wild story from her youth when she was engaged to be married but was whisked away by one of her university tutors.
She had her co stars Brenda Edwards, Ruth Langsford and Coleen Nolan stunned as she regaled them with the X-rated tale, prompted by the news Bridgerton has caused a spike in four poster bed sales.
Janet gushed: "Honestly, my first experience in a four-poster bed was amazing.
"I was a student, I was engaged to be get married and I secretly had an affair with one of my tutors."
Laughing, Ruth quipped: "Course you did!"
Janet continued: "And he whisked me off to Oxford, promising me an overnight stay in a four-poster bed in a very historic hotel.
"Anyway, I can't remember anything about the night of passion except the next morning I woke up and one of my false eyelashes had gone missing!"
Janet also said she has got friends who are younger than her who have already received their dose of the Covid vaccine, and she said it's making her "anxious" that she is still waiting.
She said: "I've got no idea, I am 74 and I was thinking that I would have had the vaccine this week, but I've had no letter, I have got so anxious.
"I spoke to my doctor at the surgery last week, and they told me what I suspect the roll out is, as the man in charge said, 'lumpy'.
"For 'lumpy', read that some areas are not getting the vaccine that they were promised, they can only plan vaccinations a short way ahead, and then they get less vaccine than they are told, particularly in some rural areas.
"So some of my friends younger than me have ben vaccinated, and I am still waiting, and I don't think it will be next week either.
"It is a very stressful time, so anyone out there in my position, I know how you're feeling."
