Loose Women's Jane Moore 'promoted' on ITV show days after clash with co-star Kelle Bryan

Sparks often fly during on-screen debates on ITV's daytime show Loose Women. But a clash between panellists has resulted in what one commentator is calling a "promotion" for show regular Jane Moore. The move came on Wednesday (February 22) when Jane found herself in the hosting hot seat on the popular programme.

Tabloid journalist and TV presenter Jane was joined on the show by co-stars Linda Robson, Sophie Morgan and Gloria Hunniford. As the panel welcomed a Dragon's Den entrepreneur as a studio guest, they discussed everything from what songs they would like played at their funeral to an admission from EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy that she had once gone three days without a shower.

Chronicle Live reported that Jane had been handed a "promotion" by her Loose Women bosses just days after a clash with her colleague Kelle Bryan. This was a debate that divided viewers at home.

According to the report, Jane has proved to be a divisive member of the Loose Women panel over the years, most recently locking horns with Eternal singer turned Hollyoaks actress Kelle over the tragic high-profile case of the disappearance of Nicola Bulley. Jane was accused of "speaking over" Kelle and not letting her finish her point.

It seems viewers were first alerted to the prospect of Jane hosting the show when the programme's Twitter account confirmed the line-up. An hour later, This Morning show hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby crossed live to discover what the panel of ITV's Loose Women would be discussing on the show.

There was support for Jane stepping up to the main presenter role, with one fan replying on social media: "I really like Jane. She talks a lot of sense... unlike some I can mention." Also backing the move, a second tweeted: "Great panel today, love Jane - she talks sense unlike some."
