Loose Women's Jane Moore halts proceedings to break news of 'special' shake-up on ITV show

Jane Moore called a momentary halt to Wednesday's Loose Women, to break news of a new campaign involving her co-stars, which will also see the ITV show shake things up for a special episode for International Women's Day.

The lunchtime panel programme has never shied away from discussing important topics or raising awareness of issues facing its stars and its audience and, over the last few years, Loose Women has come in for plenty of praise for its moves to promote body confidence which has so far seen panellists pose naked for a photo shoot and proudly strike a pose in swimwear to embrace their bodies.

The nude shoot was done to launch the show's first campaign back in 2017, when music icon Bryan Adams got behind the camera to photograph. And the Loose ladies have gone back into the studio for a new photo shoot with acclaimed Yolanda Y Liou, who shot a number of the show's well known faces in workout clothes for this year's initiative.

Jane made the announcement on the Celebrating Every Body after an ad break on Wednesday's show, confirming that her colleagues Gloria Hunniford, Kelly Holmes, Sophie Morgan, Carol McGiffin, Judi Love and Katie Piper had all taken part, with her then looking across at panellists Coleen Nolan, Linda Robson and Kelle Bryan and quipping: "From our point of view, it's about time they got involved," as Coleen replied: "Yes it is and they got to wear lovely, nice tracksuits, while we were there in our swimming costumes!"

News of this year's campaighn was made public on Wednesday morning, with Loose Women editor Sally Shelford commenting: "Loose Women’s Body Stories campaign was originally launched in 2017 to inspire and promote body confidence for all of our viewers. We are so proud that it is returning for International Women’s Day with a powerful, joyful shoot and an equally powerful message on the importance of celebrating and seeing body diversity."
