Loose Women's Jane Moore caught up in 'sexist' row with Kaye Adams on ITV show

Jane Moore went to head to head with Kaye Adams on Loose Women as to whether supermarket steak 'The Big Daddy' was sexist or not, with Jane moaning "where does it end?" at her co-star's suggestion that language had to move with the times.

Having sparked concerns from host Christine Lampard earlier in the week as she looked close to tears on camera, Jane was back on the panel for the ITV daytime show's Good Friday edition, with Kaye Adams at the helm and Linda Robson and Nadia Sawalha sitting next to her.

After the final ad break of Friday's Loose Women, Kaye drew her colleagues' attention to an supermarket product called the Big Daddy Steak and calls for it to be taken off shelves because its name is 'inappropriate and unnecessary."

After holding up the item in question, Kaye asked: "Should I be offended?" to which Jane immediately moaned back: "No, no, no! It's just like 'ooh what can I be offended about today?'"

Kaye suggested that to eat a Big Daddy steak "you needed to be a big, butch guy," to which Jane interrupted: "Remember Big Daddy the wrestler? He was actually called Shirley Crabtree; that was his real name. A wrestler called Shirley probably wasn't...so he called himself Big Daddy."

Kaye replied: "I know, but that a million years ago and time has moved on," as Jane again interrupted: "It's just a statement you associate with something kind of solid."

Not backing down herself, Kaye told her: "But maybe we shouldn't that's what we're saying," to which Jane retorted: "Why shouldn't we? How are we going to sanitise language? We're never going to day anything anymore!"

Kaye responded: "But we do change language! There's lots of things we used to day back in the day," as Jane remarked: "But that's something genuinely offensive you're talking about," adding: "What about Mother's Pride bread? Or we going to have to change Mumsnet?! Where does it end?"
