Denise Welch had Hollywood A-Lister Tom Cruise in fits of laughter at Michael Caine's 90th birthday dinner. The acting legend celebrated his milestone year with an intimate dinner at London's River Café surrounded by his closest friends and family.
The Loose Women panellist had guests in stitches of laughter as she made a rude joke during her speech. Denise, 64, shared a clip of this video to her Instagram page as viewers could see both Tom and Michael in hysterical laughter as the camera panned around the room.
Denise quipped: "Only the other morning, [Michael's wife Shakira] said she heard a scream from downstairs, it was Michael shouting 'Shakira look, there's a parcel, my Olympic condoms have come'."
She continued: "He said 'I'm going to wear the gold ones tonight', and she said 'why not wear the silver and c**e f**king second for a change'."
As the video showed the guests, the Top Gun actor couldn't hold back his laughter at the crude joke as he sat beside Michael who smiled sipping on red wine. The clip was filmed by Denise's husband Lincoln, who could be heard telling another party-goer: "I live with her."
In a caption alongside the video, Denise joked that it appeared Tom likes a naughty joke just as much as her friend Michael does. She wrote: "Such an honour to be asked by Shakira to say a few words at Sir Michael Caines' 90th birthday!!! He loves a dirty joke and so does @tomcruise it appears!!!! Great night and amazing company."
Fans went wild in the comments as they couldn't believe the random crossover of celebrities. One said: "Tom Cruise skipping the Oscars to watch Denise perform stand up was not on my 2023 bingo card."
"No way is that Tom Cruise & Michael Caine.... just fainted. I can't imagine being at the same table as Hollywood Royalty," another penned. A third added: "Tom Cruise and Sir Michael Caine in the same room as you! This may be the best video I've ever seen."
A fourth wrote: "OMG I nearly chocked on my cup of tea @denise_welch you really are a hoot. Tom Cruise’s face was a picture." Someone else echoed: "Incredible. Your life is wild and I am here for it! Xx"
"So naughty but so funny only you could get away with that Denise. Xxx," another added.
