Loose Women's Denise Welch and Jane Moore 'lock horns' in heated Prince Harry row

Denise Welch clashed with co-star Jane Moore and fired a dig at her critics as she gave a defiant show of support to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during a row over the couple on Thursday's Loose Women.

Hours before the ITV lunchtime show broadcast another live episode, a new trailer for Harry's interview with ITV News' Tom Bradby was released, as well as more explosive revelations from his soon to be released book, the biggest claim being that his brother, Prince William, physically attacked him at his home during a clash about him and Meghan's behaviour.

Harry claims that William grabbed him by his collar before shoving him to the ground and that accusation and the furore its caused, dominating proceedings at the start of Loose Women. Denise has been a staunch supporter of Harry and wife Meghan over the last few years, with one of her public shows of support for the couple featuring in their recent Netflix documentary.

As she has done in the past, Denise once again condemned the 'different' narratives given to Meghan, in contrast to Kate, Princess of Wales, before taking on Loose Women co-star Jane over the bad blood and animosity between Harry and William and wrong doings on the part of the Royal Family.

Denise told journalist Jane she found it 'strange' how she appeared so against Harry and Meghan, given her years of royal reporting, before praising Harry for 'always being there' for Meghan, arguing that was something Princess Diana 'didn't have.'

As Jane said it was 'hurtful' that so many allegations were being made in full glare of the public and world's media, Denise shot back: "Why shouldn't Harry say his peace, Jane? I think he’s had to move away from a family – they’ve done it behind his back.”

Maintaining her own stance, Jane cut in to argue that Harry was only making the allegations public in order ‘to make money,' to which an increasingly frustrated Denise retorted: “Jane, you talked to me about interrupting.”

She then added: "The fact is the Royal Family make quite a bit of money themselves. They have been leaking stories. We know they have. As soon as Meghan was seen as the People’s Princess, that was game over, because William and Kate have to remain in those positions.

“Meghan was in those rooms on the global stage with charities – she didn’t do that just when she got married to Harry."
