Loose Women's Coleen Nolan ordered off show as panel grill her new boyfriend

Coleen Nolan was ordered off Loose Women on Tuesday as her co-stars questioned her new boyfriend Michael Jones.

Host Ruth Langsford revealed at the start of the latest episode of the ITV talk show that the panel would be joined in the studio by Michael, the man who Coleen finally went public with in a tell-all magazine interview last week, before also talking about their relationship on Loose Women.

And Ruth then left Coleen feeling even more nervous when, after an ad break, she demanded that Coleen go backstage so that she and colleagues Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter could speak to Michael without any interruption from her.

Coleen met new man Michael on a dating app and when asked by Ruth how he coped with trying to find someone online, Michael told her: "I had been on a few dates before that so it wasn't too difficult.

"Obliviously seeing Coleen's face pop up was a bit strange," before admitting he recognised her from the TV straight away.

He added: "I didn't think for once that we'd match, let alone hear from her."

Ruth revealed it was Coleen who swiped first, adding that Brenda was instrumental in that as she encouraged Coleen to give online dating a go.

Talking about how their relationship progressed, Michael explained: "We chatted for a while, exchanged a few texts and eventually I got to have a phone conversation, as she was really scared about that."

Janet asked Michael if there was one big thing he did to convince Coleen he was genuine, to which he replied: "Not particularly. We were just generally chatting about various things anyway and we seemed to be getting on, the next step was to have a telephone conversation."

Opening up on their first date, after he picked the venue, he said Coleen chatted for hours, before telling the panel he'd now met all of Coleen's large family.

Ruth ended the conversation by quizzing Michael on how he'd dealt with his relationship receiving so much attention, to which he told her: "I obviously knew that was part of her life, that's her job being in the media. So you have to accept it and just get on with it."

Coleen was then eventually allowed back in the studio, telling her co-stars it was absolute torture," having to listen to what was going on backstage.
