Brenda Edwards filmed herself experiencing a hot flush as she opened up about the toll the menopause has taken on her.
In a video shown on Monday's Loose Women, the former X Factor star, 51, was seen sweating as she had a hot flush shortly before she went on air.
She moved the camera to film across her forehead and beads of sweat could clearly be seen.
Brenda said: "That's me standing and waiting for wardrobe, as I was standing talking to Andrea [McLean] the drips just started coming down.
"I hadn't done any strenuous exercise or anything like that.
"I don't know if a lot of men understand when you say you've got a hot flush."
Linda Robson interjected, doing an impression of men who don't understand: "It's just a bit warm, get over it!"
Brenda continued: "It's actually visible and it used to embarrass me.
"Especially when I was on stage and everybody else was looking dry like a crisp and I look like I've just come out of the shower or the bath."
She revealed that she would have a secret fan on stage to help her stay cool.
"Luckily I had some understanding producers," Brenda said.
It was a show full of brutal honesty with Linda's bedroom confession.
The Birds of a Feather actress said she accidentally had sex while her daughter was in the same bed.
She said her eldest child Lauren had crept in during the middle of the night without her realising until it was too late.
